Total station price in Pakistan in 2026 runs from about PKR 285,000 for a used or budget unit to PKR 500,000 for a new Kolida or FOIF complete set, PKR 950,000 to 1,125,000 for a Sokkia iM-50 series, and PKR 4,500,000 and above for a robotic Topcon or Leica. Our confirmed price for the Kolida KTS-442P complete set is PKR 500,000.
That one line answers the question most buyers type into Google. The rest of this guide explains what sits behind those numbers, because a total station is not a single product. It is an instrument, a set of accessories, a warranty and a service relationship, and the price you are quoted depends on how many of those four things are actually included.
How much does a total station cost in Pakistan?
The honest answer is that the market has three tiers, and they do not overlap much.
The first tier is new Chinese-built instruments from Kolida, FOIF, E-Survey, Ruide and a handful of similar factories. These are 2 second or 5 second instruments with reflectorless EDMs, and a complete set lands between PKR 450,000 and 550,000 depending on the exchange rate in the month you buy. Our Kolida KTS-442P complete set is PKR 500,000, confirmed in August 2026, and that includes the tripod, prism set, carry box and all accessories.
The second tier is Japanese: Sokkia, Topcon and Nikon manual instruments. A Sokkia iM-52 or iM-55 sells for PKR 950,000 to 1,125,000 in the Pakistani market. You are paying for the optics, the EDM reliability over ten years and the resale value, which holds far better than any Chinese unit.
The third tier is robotic and imaging: Leica TS16, Topcon GT, Sokkia iX. These start around PKR 4,500,000 and go well past PKR 8,000,000 with a controller and software. They are bought by survey consultancies, large contractors on metro and motorway packages, and university departments with grants.
Everything below the first tier is used. Used instruments on OLX and in the Lahore and Karachi markets sell for PKR 285,000 to 400,000, and we discuss further down why that is usually a false economy.

What is included in a complete set?
This is where buyers get caught. A quoted price of PKR 420,000 that turns out to be the instrument alone, one battery and a box is not cheaper than PKR 500,000 for a working set. Before you compare two quotes, make both sellers list every item.
A complete set from us includes:
- The instrument with its onboard software licence activated
- Two lithium batteries and a mains charger
- An aluminium survey tripod with quick clamps
- A single prism with tribrach, target plate and prism holder
- A prism pole with a circular bubble
- A plumb bob, adjusting pins, allen keys and a lens cloth
- A rain cover and the hard transport case
- Calibration on our bench before dispatch, with the check sheet in the box
- A two year warranty and operator training
If a quote is missing the tripod and prism set, add PKR 35,000 to 60,000 to compare like with like. If it is missing a second battery, add PKR 12,000 to 18,000. If it is missing calibration, you have no idea what you are buying.
Total station price in Pakistan by brand
These are indicative market ranges for a new instrument with a complete set, observed on Pakistani search results and in our own trade in September 2026. Only the Kolida KTS-442P figure is our confirmed price.
| Brand | Typical model | Accuracy | Indicative market price (PKR) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kolida | KTS-442P, KTS-442R | 2" | 480,000 to 520,000 | Our price: 500,000 complete set |
| Kolida | KTS-591 Android | 2" | 650,000 to 800,000 | Touchscreen, onboard CAD |
| FOIF | RTS-102R | 2" | 450,000 to 520,000 | Close rival to Kolida |
| E-Survey | ETS-102 | 2" | 480,000 to 560,000 | Newer brand, fewer local spares |
| Nikon | XS, XF | 2" to 5" | 800,000 to 1,100,000 | Japanese optics, manual |
| Sokkia | iM-52, iM-55 | 2" to 5" | 950,000 to 1,125,000 | Authorised through us |
| Topcon | GM-52 manual | 2" | 950,000 to 1,200,000 | Sister to Sokkia iM |
| Topcon | GT series robotic | 1" to 2" | 4,500,000 and up | One-person robotic |
| Leica | TS07, TS10, TS16 | 1" to 5" | 1,800,000 to 8,000,000 | Premium, longest lead on parts |
Two cautions. First, a Sokkia price quoted without the Sokkia tripod and prism will look closer to the Kolida than it really is. Second, Leica and Topcon prices in Pakistan are quoted through a small number of importers and swing hard with the dollar, so a figure older than a month is already wrong.
New vs used
A used instrument makes sense in exactly one situation: a known source, a calibration certificate dated within the last six months, and a price at least 40 percent under new. That combination is rare.
The usual OLX listing is a five to ten year old Sokkia or Topcon, imported second-hand from the Gulf, with one swollen battery and no charger. The seller does not know when the compensator was last checked. It reads angles well enough on a demo, and then on site the EDM starts dropping reflectorless shots over 60 metres and the vertical angle wanders by half a minute between the morning and the afternoon.
The repair bill for a compensator or EDM board on a Japanese instrument is PKR 60,000 to 150,000 if the part is available, and six to twelve weeks if it has to come from abroad. Add that to a PKR 320,000 purchase and you have paid more than a new Kolida with a two year warranty.
Our advice: buy used only from a dealer who will put it on a bench, show you the collimation and compensator readings, and offer at least six months of cover. Otherwise buy new.
Which company's total station is best for Pakistani sites?
Best depends on who is holding it. We go into this in detail in which total station is best for surveying in Pakistan, but the short version:
- A housing society developer, a building contractor or a small survey firm doing plots, roads and layouts is best served by a 2 second Kolida. It does everything the job needs, spares are on our shelf, and if it is dropped the replacement cost is survivable.
- A consultancy doing control networks, bridge monitoring or anything that goes into a report with a government stamp should look at the Sokkia iM series. The optics are clearer in haze and the EDM holds specification over years.
- A firm doing large topographic jobs with one operator should look at robotic, where the instrument follows the prism and the second man is no longer needed.
The ranking for site conditions is simpler. Dust and heat are the Pakistani enemies, and all three tiers handle them if the instrument is IP54 or better, kept in its case between setups and not left on the tripod in June sun at lunchtime.
What raises or lowers the price
Accuracy class is the first lever. A 5 second instrument is typically PKR 40,000 to 80,000 cheaper than the 2 second version of the same body. For building layout and road work, 5 seconds is plenty. For control traverses longer than a kilometre, buy 2 seconds.
Reflectorless range is the second. A 400 metre reflectorless EDM is standard. A 600 or 1,000 metre reflectorless EDM adds PKR 50,000 to 120,000 and matters only if you measure to cliff faces, towers or across rivers.
Android and touchscreen is the third. The Kolida KTS-591 Android runs a full Android system with onboard CAD, WiFi data transfer and a colour touchscreen. It costs PKR 150,000 to 300,000 more than the keypad KTS-442P. If your crew exports to AutoCAD every evening, it pays back in saved office time within a year. If they measure and hand a notebook to a draughtsman, it does not.
Warranty and service is the fourth, and the one buyers forget. Two years of warranty on our own bench in Rawalpindi is worth more than the PKR 20,000 to 40,000 difference between us and a general trader who will send the instrument back to the importer.
Why buy from a Rawalpindi supplier instead of OLX
We have been selling survey instruments from Faizabad since 2002. Over those years the pattern has been the same: the buyer who saves PKR 80,000 on a used OLX unit comes to us within eighteen months for a calibration or a repair, and often for a new instrument.
Buying from us means:
- The instrument is calibrated and the check sheet is in the case.
- Two year warranty on new units, serviced on our own bench, not shipped abroad.
- Spares, batteries, chargers and prisms in stock for Kolida and Sokkia.
- Delivery across Pakistan in two to three days by courier, insured.
- A person on WhatsApp who has sold the thing for twenty years and can tell you whether you actually need the 2 second version.
What we supply
Our total station range sits under total stations, with every accessory under tools and accessories.
- Kolida KTS-442P: 2 second, reflectorless, PKR 500,000 complete set. Our most sold instrument.
- Kolida KTS-591 Android: touchscreen, onboard CAD, for crews who export daily.
- Sokkia iM series: the Japanese step up, authorised supply.
- Aluminium survey tripod and single prism with tribrach if you need to complete an older set.
If you are weighing a total station against an auto level for a smaller job, read auto level price in Pakistan first. Many layout jobs need both.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask us
What is the price of a total station in Pakistan?
A new Chinese-built total station with a complete field set sells for around PKR 500,000 in 2026. The Kolida KTS-442P complete set is PKR 500,000 from us. Sokkia iM-50 series runs PKR 950,000 to 1,125,000 in the market, and robotic Topcon or Leica units start above PKR 4,500,000.
What is included in a complete total station set?
A complete set should include the instrument, two batteries and a charger, an aluminium tripod, a single prism with tribrach and target, a prism pole, a plumb bob or laser plummet, tools, rain cover and the hard carry case. Ask for the list in writing before paying.
Which total station brand is best in Pakistan?
For most Pakistani contractors and survey firms, Kolida gives the best value: 2 second accuracy, reflectorless range and local spares. Sokkia is the step up for consultancies and long-term government work. Leica and Topcon are excellent but cost three to nine times more and parts take longer to source.
Is a used total station worth buying?
Only if it comes with a recent calibration certificate, a working battery set and a seller who will still answer the phone next month. Used units on OLX commonly sell for PKR 285,000 to 400,000, but a tired compensator or EDM can cost PKR 80,000 or more to repair, which wipes out the saving.
Does the price include calibration and training?
From Shahzad Brothers, yes. Every instrument is checked and calibrated on our bench before dispatch, and we give the operator a walkthrough on delivery or over a video call. Market prices quoted by general traders usually do not include either.
What is the warranty on a new total station?
We give a two year warranty on new instruments, with service done on our own bench in Rawalpindi rather than shipped abroad. Market sellers typically offer one year or none. Always ask who physically does the repair.
